Check-in & Check-out: Check-in is after 3 pm. We cannot guarantee a 3 pm check-in due to unforeseen circumstances, such as, excessive cleaning needed and maintenance. Check-in at the Ocean Resort's Mar Vista Grande office located on the 5th floor at the condominium complex. For arrivals after 5pm please follow the late arrival instructions on your confirmation. Checkout before 10 am - No exceptions. Please lock the unit (sliding glass doors and windows) and bring the pool tags back to our office.
Reservations: Reservations are normally Saturday - Saturday during the summer. Off-season there is a three-night minimum. Monthly rentals are available October - March. No house parties or group rentals allowed - this includes high school, college, or other non-family groups. We only rent to families, married couples and individuals 25 years or older. Any violation will result in eviction with no refund.
Deposit: A deposit of 1/2 of the rent amount is required on all reservations and is payable by credit card, check, certified funds or money order. Make all payments payable to Ocean Resorts NMB, Inc. If paying by check we will hold the reservation for 7 days. If we do not receive the check within that time the reservation will automatically be cancelled. For reservations made within 30 days of arrival the total amount will be due. Upon receipt you will be sent a confirmation letter with the balance due and due date, you will not receive another bill or reminder. The rental agency will place the advance payments in an interest bearing trust account with an insured South Carolina bank with accrued interest payable to the rental agency.
Insurance: We offer option Travel Insurance through CSA Travel that will insure reimbursement of your money due to emergency cancellation, death, or hurricane evacuation. Insurance must be paid before the final payment is paid and is non-refundable within 10 days of purchase.
Balance: All balances are due at least 30 days prior to arrival. If you paid your deposit with a credit card we will automatically bill your credit card for the final payment unless you make other arrangements more than 30 days prior to arrival. Upon receipt a final confirmation will be sent.
Payments: Personal checks are accepted as long as we receive it more than 30 days prior to your arrival date. Otherwise we accept certified funds, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Make all payments payable to Ocean Resorts NMB, Inc. Returned checks will incur a $30 charge.
Cancellation Policy: Regardless of when you cancel your reservation if we are able to re-rent the condo we will refund your money less a $75 cancellation fee. If we are unable to re-rent the condo your money is non-refundable through Mar Vista Grande/Ocean Resorts NMB. If you purchased the Travel Insurance simply file a claim with CSA Travel.
Other Fees: A non-refundable 3% reservation fee is applied to all reservations. All rent is subject to state and local taxes.
Security Deposit: Either a valid credit card imprint or $500 cash deposit must be presented upon check-in. Please allow up to four weeks for return of cash deposits.
Responsibilities: During your stay you are responsible for the well being of the condo contents and this includes the linen. Besides normal wear and tear, please report any damage immediately to our office. To report damage after hours that is not an emergency please leave a message in our general voice mail or call the next business day.
Parking: The Mar Vista Grande has a 4 story parking deck with limited high top parking places. Motorcycles, trailers, campers, boats, jet-skis, etc. are not allowed.
Linens and Maid Service: All of the bed, bath and kitchen linens are included in all rentals. The condos are furnished with bath linen for the maximum occupancy only. No additional linens will be provided. Departure maid service is included in all rentals. Before you depart from the condo we ask that you take your trash out (properly bagged and tied) and wash any dirty dishes. Daily maid service is available for $60/day for a 3 bedroom and $80/day for a 4 bedroom.
Maintenance: Please keep in mind that service calls are billed to the individual owners and any unwarranted service calls will be charged to the guest. In order to keep the condos in good condition some preventative maintenance (i.e. filters, pest control, etc.), repairs and guest requested maintenance is required which will require periodic access to the condo and may be necessary during your stay. We cannot guarantee any appliance. We will do our best to have repairs done ASAP. There will be no refunds due to any maintenance or appliance failure.
Hurricane Evacuations: There will be no refunds from Mar Vista Grande/Ocean Resorts NMB. We highly recommend that you purchase the Travel Insurance to insure a refund due to a mandatory evacuation.
Accommodations: All accommodations are non-smoking. No pets are allowed. Units are strictly limited to number shown on front of confirmation regardless of beds available. The only exception is an infant to occupy a crib. We cannot guarantee the comfort of sleeper sofas and recommend they be used for children only. We cannot guarantee any particular unit. In the event of an emergency, removal from our rental program, or other unforeseen circumstances Mar Vista Grande/Ocean Resorts NMB reserves the right to change your accommodations to an equal or greater value unit. There can be no additions to existing furnishings or equipment. Please do not move any furniture. You are renting a privately owned condominium. It has been decorated and equipped to satisfy the particular taste and desires of the owner. Each unit is equipped with the basic needs for a pleasant vacation. We will not provide another condo or refund if you decide the property doesn't meet your standards after taking possession.
Phone and Mail: All local calls are free. Any long distance calls need to be made with a calling card. Have mail sent to your attention c/o Ocean Resorts at Mar Vista Grande, 603 S. Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
Construction: There will be no rate adjustments or refunds for any inconveniences due to construction, road repair, etc.
Lock-outs: Call our after hours emergency number (843-663-1246) and the maintenance person will let you in. There will be a charge of $35 if you lost your card key and no charge if it is faulty equipment.
Items to Bring: Beach towels, chairs and accessories; hair dryer; and other personal items. There will be a starter kit in the condo for you that includes paper products, soaps and trash bags. Additional trash bags can be picked up at our office if needed. Other items will need to be purchased by you after they are gone.
Real Estate: Some condos are listed for sale. We will notify you when the sales agent would like to show the condo. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Miscellaneous: Mar Vista Grande/Ocean Resorts NMB reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and is not liable for any loss of personal items, valuables, damages or injuries. Failure to comply with the Rules and Regulations will result in being evicted from the property with no refunds. Mar Vista Grande/Ocean Resorts NMB makes every effort to insure that the information provided is correct. However, the possibility of errors and/or omissions exists and we reserve the right to correct such errors.
